Description This is my most personal piece of nature-photography.
I love being surrounded by nature and seeing all the tiny miracles going on there. every single day one of these miracles dies and leaves a scar. to me, this photograph symbolizes the last breath of the earth, a desperate breath.

I can hardly describe how very moved I was when pushing the button. on the one hand I was so grateful for being able to shoot this moment, on the other there was an extreme sadness.

this picture will remain in my head forever and I hope it'll never become reality for us.

I had to shoot this moment to be able to share. with you.

I like this no too fond of the overall color tone, though.

Anyhow, a great composition

Thats beautiful.. makes u think how polluted the world is..
I was thinking what it would look like if the swan would be pure and white.. like "there's still something left to save".. mm..ya..

After I understood what you meant by 'symbolism,' this became a very inspiring scene.
Such a beautiful swan among all those dead trees... it's like it's trying to hold onto what is left of its past.
It is interesting how it seems the swan can still love the place for what it used to be. For the beauty that used to be...

That's such a breath taking picture you took. It's awesome and at the same time so terrible (not directed to you )
And I have to thank you coz this picture gave me a great idea for a design I am doing in my graphic arts class. (my group is doing "preserving nature ) And this is a good way of showing why we must preserve it.
You're a great photographer

another moving piece. the pic without the swan would be just another normal piece of photo. But with the fallen tree it gives a sense of loss and with the white swan, so alone, in such a cold place seems pretty ironic. The use of orange filter adds warmth and hope to this pic, like a new beginning to me. A sureal piece to me.

Ayn Rand, in "Anthem" or was it "The Night of January 1st"? or somesuch..had her character say something to the effect that "I want to see, live and in real life, the things I see there up on the stage."

I think that is what certain kinds of art are about. I think that is what certain kinds of artists are about too.

Luck to you, sire. This is a moving..image.
