Description
I write of a series of dreams I once had
but in these dreams everyone there knew it wasn't real
that it was a dream
everyone
except me
they told me I didn't know her
that it was all a lie
she told me it wasn't real
that it would all be over soon and I’d wake up to find myself alone
I never believed her
I never believed any of them
but they were right
and it all ended after 3 days
3 wonderful, beautiful, glorious days
only the days were Hell
it was the night that mattered
and every night
I would lose myself in her love
but every day I would awake to find that it was all a lie
I would've cried if I could
and when I awoke on the fourth day
I never saw her again
but her image was in my mind
"shadows of lost memories"
her face was fleeting, as beauty often is
but on the third night
she knew it would end
and she told me the truth
and now I know
"Never lies."
she was right
