this is a really cool piece. it clearly establishes an old RPG atmosphere with the colors and shapes as well as subject matter (obviously). i could definitely see this in a video game. some negative/nitpicky things though:
-the drop off from the grass to the beaches, and also from the beach into the water is very steep. sort of makes it look like the islands are on an abyss
-the trees to mountain size ratio, while i understand would be impossible to fit in proportionately, is kind of off putting. I'd make the mountains bigger, or the trees smaller.
-i think it'd be cool if the mountains casted more of a shadow, like maybe the time of day is more specific. all in all, maybe make the shading more consistent? in certain parts the sun looks like its setting or rising, but others it looks like it's midday.
but other than that, it's awesome. keep up the awesome work!

Solid, great use of vibrant colors. Really gives me the retro-rpg vibes, although the little dude seems out of place.
