Ha, well done. Sentiment is conveyed, tension is rightly building up. Love the way you drew it all.

I also took another look at page 4, which showed the front of Crackpot's house. I see that on this page, the mailbox and old tire to the right of the steps and path are gone (perhaps blown away by the storm?), and there is now a broken tree stump there. The house is still right next to a bridge, with a big tree on the opposite side from the house.

I'm glad you're coming uo with justifications for my shortcomings as an artist! I went back to look at Page 4 to compare the two panels and that panel also shows a much flatter mound of dirt the house is resting on that it does on this page. But that's atleast a stylistic liberty - I wanted the house to appear more crooked and sinister in this scene.

Let's hope it's nothing nefarious!

Looks like Bonkie's trenchcoat could be the same one he's pictured wearing in "I've got the information you need pal" (a.k.a. A little bird told me) or in "Industrial Espionage". It could be that the storm blowing is symbolic of another kind of storm that's brewing. We should see soon enough in the coming pages.

I was re-watching an old Swedish soap opera from my childhood where all the characters wear trenc coat-like jackets during wintertime. I thought they were cool, so I figured Bonkie could have one too! That was indeed around the time I drew that bird picture.

It's fun playing dress-up with characters sometimes!
