I'm really hoping that at some point during Smallville (preferably not until the last few episodes), the show breaks it's "no tights, no flights" rule, and we get to see the big guy don his suit for the first time. Some of you guys might remember my photo-manipulated guess as to what that costume might end up looking like [link] that I did about a year ago (it's basically just the Green Arrow's suit, but re-colored). Well, I finally got around to drawing it
Edit: I finally changed out that horrible poo-colored
background.

Yeah, I do wish they would have given him a costume that looked different than the Superman Returns costume. Something more specific to the show would have been cool.

i personally think tom welling should've been in the superman movie to bring over the transition from smallville to superman and in that would've brought closure to him as clark kent.

The finale was AWESOME!!!!! When the classic Superman theme started playing, I got goosebumps! And it was so awesome to see Lex! Their last conversation was the stuff of legend! You know, I really didn't care for the first four seasons that much. It really took me a while to warm up to the series, but as soon as Green Arrow showed up, I was hooked

I was 2 when the pilot aired aired so I had to catch up, but i loved the first four seasons. there were some problems, but overall i thought it was awesome. The finale was everything i wanted plus more!!!! Some idiot was saying that the classic superman theme never played!!!! My favourite part was all of it!!!! Especially the part where he saves Lois's plane on the suit, and the end when he is running shows the "S"

hi- spellbound7 is it? I actually think this is the best season of Smallville Ever and the finale last night was EPIC!!! The storyline was not silly!!!! But, Everyone is entitled to their own opinion

Smallville is turning into dry dung at this point. The storyline is silly, really, and the characters do things that make no sense. Best to keep that costume for a great superman movie instead ;D

Normally, I don't like ANY alterations to Superman's suit but when I saw this I was like, "Hey, that is actually pretty cool." Heck, with all the changes Smallville has made this design would fit well with the show. I like it dude, great job!

Thanks, man! Yeah, I love the original costume, so it's really good to hear that my Smallville version is respectful enough for hardcore Superman fans, but different enough to fit in with the show.

Very nice! I like this version of the suit much better than the 'classic' version. You should try your hand at an equally sexy Lex to match him. (Maybe Lex with the superskin, in some universe where Lana didn't steal it.)

If the reflection in Clark's eye [link] is what I think it is, we could see him putting on his familiar red and blues in the next season! Let's hope!

I'm guessing that the first part of the season will be Clark trying to get his powers back, then he'll put on the suit when he's powered up again. At least, that's what I'm hoping

Oh, man, that would be awesome!! Of course, the show does have a habit of showing their characters as humans, so we might see Darkseid as just some guy. I hope not, though. I'd be fine with just some face prosthetics and a cool looking suit of armor.

I'm thinking Micheal Clarke Duncan being himself and scary as heck. He made an appearance on "Chuck" so its possible. And since they did such an awesome job with Doomsday, the Legion, the JSA, and others, I don't think we'll have to worry too much. Seems like they are aiming more and more for the comics these days.

As long as they have the acting chops, I'm down. They've done a fantastic job of raising up villains to near Lex Luthor status in a season over the last two years. Since Darkseid is pure evil...you can't really find a redeeming aspect to the character...they can just kinda...go...

I'm not too sure about the hood, but that's probably a bit of the purist side of me acting up. Overall it's a pretty cool concept.

Mostly, the hood is just there because the rest of the Smallville Justice League has one. I think even Aquaman and Cyborg have hoods, but they don't actually pull them up over their heads. I'd imagine Superman would be the same way. I totally get where you're coming from, though. I love the classic costume.
