Description
This is the first shot of my son that I think looks pretty good. I added a black and white mask via CS3 but know it needs some work to it.I think I captured the innocence in his eyes, but you know there is a devil in him somewhere.
Any comments would be appreciate on how to improve this picture.

thanks for the critique mate. It all helps. When we spoke earlier you were talking about the focus and I see where you are coming from.
This was just a quick shot and wasn't setting up for a portrait but I did like the framing of it.

Firstly, great title
The focus on his right eye is what throws this the most for me. Ah, and I think the strange focus area of his hair too - both combined distract the viewers eye from him. Well, my eye is distracted anyhow
I like the tight crop here, but the hand at the bottom is a little distracting too. I'm definitely drawn to his mouth and snotty nose - probably because of their clarity in the whole shot.
Wonderful expression though, and generally a nice off the cuff capture
Works well in b/w though I do wonder if the colour version would have made some of the distractions less apparent?
