Well, I have to be sincere: I don't really know it myself. I mean, sometimes I get clean images, sometimes....no.
The baseshapes surely play their role and the materials too (diffuse and ambient are still a bit arcane to me ) and the render time too....in the end, I'm still trying to understand. Sometimes something good comes out!
