To be sincere, I had almost the same impression (..a dragon..) but when I saw that tiny light I forgot to turn off...well, I thought of some spark of sentient thought (am almost rare thing lately, at least where I live ) so....the synapse seemed to fit!

Uso "Mandelbulb3d", un programmino per generare frattali in 3d (spero che sia la definizione giusta....); è un programma freeware, non necessita installazione, non necessita particolari configurazioni hardware (ovviamente, più potenza c'è nel pc e più rapidamente renderizza) e lo trovi qui .
Nella cartella già trovi qualche tutorial, ma qui su deviant art ce ne sono davvero tanti. Io lo trovo divertente; normalmente uso sketchup, gimp e ps, e questo è quasi una droga ma apre davvero una finestra su un altro universo.
