Plus the 10 year trivia that I promised.

"The Cats' 9 Lives!" 10th anniversary trivia and facts

Ten years ago, I made the first pages to what became my first adult story (nudity and sex); that comic was ,back then, named Murder and Sex ... (LO-fucking-L, what was a I smoking?) Later "What's New Pussycat?", and finally "The Cats' 9 Lives!"

The story tell the tale of a young police Lieutenant and a club singer cat, the murder of her fiance and the trial of a wolf trying to get her revenge and disk; however, the story back then defer somewhat with what was presented back in its 2009-2012 run.
Even the original idea was different than what eventually became the misadventures of a couple of cats who would fall on every peril life throws at them; so in celebration of our felines 10 years escaping death here I present to you some fun facts about the comic once called "What's New Pussycat??".

1) Originally called Cat-Burglars a year earlier, the idea was discarded do to lack of ideas as it progressed, Felicio, then called Felinno, and Kat where thieves before changing them into a cop and club singer.

2) Carl and Cathy are the only other characters besides Felicio and Kat to have survive the discarding of the original idea.

3) While Kat worked solo, Felicio had a team with him composed of Carl and an old Saint Bernard named Bernard (duh), who had a pet parrot; in many ways, Pigman is a reincarnation of Bernard.

4) The original antagonist was a cat named Montenegro, leader of a mob; he hires Felicio and the thieves to do a job for him.

5) Montenegro was father of Cathy, both were white fur, blonde hair, blue eye cats.

6) To this day I can't remember what lead to the final change shown to date.

7) To this day, I can't remember how I conceived the Ronfar Gang; except Weasel, who was inspired on Sgt. Smart Ass Weasel, the leader of the Toon Patrol in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit!". Both speak with a Brooklyn gangster style accent, though Weasel's voice is somewhat squeakier. Croc Joe, Big R and Simon where added at the last moment as the story progressed.

8) Simon was originally a willing participant of the Gang, and he would retract into his shell to make it into a small tank on wheels, with a cannon in front; it was destroy by Felicio. However, his ending as an FBI witness is still the same.

9) Ronfar is sentenced to death, although he escapes all the time. So yes, he will return.

10) Kat DOES get rape by Ronfar in their first encounter in the original story and she outwits him, but that was altered in her outwitting him before he does harm, as I decided that would be the only time I'll ever put any female character in such circumstance; however, her abused history under Ronfar, remained, as a bases for her personality.

11) Cathy only falls for Carl after he takes a shot for her, when the gang sneaked into the PD, searching for the disk. In the present recreation they are now married, but Carl's eye for other women give the impression of the two been apart.

12) Kat was ticklish in her breast; specifically, her nipples {just in case you wondered, still dunno what was I smoking }

13) FBI agent Raymond Malone is the only character from the current story line not introduced in the original 2003 story, but added later in the run.

14) "Sacrificial Lambs" was a spin off of the story "Shepard's Hills"; Sheena and Gaby head back to their hometown, of the same name, when she is wrongfully accused of a Bank Heist committed by a female sheep who disguises by coincidence like her. Still, General Wollen becomes aware of their relation as husband and wife. This story takes place way in the middle of the "WNP??" run. The revelations of Sheena and Gaby marriage takes place in that story.

15) The Character of the Raven Priest of the Pao-Pa tribe in Sacrificial Lambs was a powerful and immortal anthro-raven wizard from another sci-fi story line, who was sent into a dimension for his crimes and jumps from dimension to dimension in order to return back home, retake his powerful book of spells, and get his revenge; he had 3 loyal anthropic-chameleon brothers servants named Saki, Taki and Laki. He was added to TC9L for the fact I hadn't gave him a place in years.

16) The Sacrifice plot was taken from the event that happened to Kat and Felicio in another story.
