Description
Eden had never been foolish enough to think he was the first person Sylas had loved, but knowing it and meeting Eztli had been two very different things. The human and the vampire couldn't have been less alike. Eztli, petite and blond, with brilliant silver eyes and a vicious tongue to match his his wicked teeth. Eden was younger and taller, with less feminine features and beautiful tan skin, and despite how scarred he'd been of Sylas back then he was sure he'd loved the wolf upon sight. The boys shared entirely different views of the wolf they had and did love. While Eztli treated Sylas as a joke and a petulant child Eden knew a young man growing a little wiser and more patient every day. Sylas was far from perfect, but every passing day Eden was a little more proud that of all the people in the world, Sylas was who he would spend his life with whether it was a short human existence or the centuries of the wolves.

The day he met Eztli however, Eden was sure it would be shorter than both. The vampire had changed in his time away from Sylas and the pack, his stability was wire thin and he'd grown a violent streak a mile wide. One wrong word would set him off, and Eden managed to give him nine; Sylas is going to make me a wolf too.
