Another re-upload from my old account, this shot was from back in February last year but it's still one of my favorite doll shots I've ever taken.This is one of the shots that reminds me why I love Ryu so much I bought a second one XD

Curious, what type of wig for this doll is there? I find it really pretty and though I'm new to the BJD world, I would love any advice that you could offer.

Mmm I guess along the lines of being a beginner with this sort of thing, where should I start? I plan on recreating a character of mine as a doll, and I really like the set up of your doll "Amery" and I was planning on getting a Migidoll Miho head for the character. Mainly I just want to know what sort of things should I do to take care of my dolls, what to expect when first getting them and assembling/doing face up/ clothing with the doll and also for some of the dark skinned dolls that I've seen would you be able to recommend any places that sell really good ones. Thank you so much for your time in answering this! You have been one of my favourite BJD pages on her since I started dA!

Well I'd definitely suggest singing up for DoA if you haven't already because it's a fantastic resource. I can send you over an invite if you like since it's invite only at the moment, you'd just need to drop me a note with your email and I can get one sent over.
If you do go for a migi head, she usually sells them during specific order periods the next one being 27th August - 16th September. I'm not sure about what other companies match their current resin since she changed it fairly recently, I've got Amery on a souldoll body for example but I don't know if that match still holds up with newer heads.
General care wise it varies really but generally the dolls aren't super delicate or anything so they wont break just from handling. For the most part it's best to keep them out of direct sunlight, unless it's for short periods like photo shoots etc since the plastic they're made from does tend to yellow over time and direct sunlight speeds that process up.
DoA is definitely the best place to find tutorials or threads about doing face ups, I don't really do my own anymore so I'm probably not the best to be giving advice about them.
Clothes wise if you check out my FAQ (linked in my sig) I've got some links to stores where I tend to by my doll clothes but it really depends what you're after style wise and what your budget is as some places can be pretty pricey.
As for tan dolls, lots of companies do them these days, most of my tan dolls are from Soom or Volks though and I can definitely vouch for their quality. It's hard to really recommend specific companies and dolls though since it's all so taste and budget dependent so really all I can suggest is shopping around until you find a doll you really love. ^^
