Yay I finally drew Africa!I was going for how Himaruya does his drawing style.
My brother said I should put some blood on the spear so that's why the spear is like that.

(I like the drawing, but I do believe that putting all the African countries into one person is a little much. But whatever. As long as you individually research each country thoroughly I don't see a problem. Or if you wanted to interpret it in the way of she was the whole continent before countries were formed that could work too.)

Afirca can't be done like this. The nations are way too diverse. Doing this is basically saying “Hey, all of the nations and ethnic groups in this area are the same!” whether you mean it or not. Same for you're other human populated continents.

it's just a fucking drawing! It's supposed to be cute god dammit! The reason it's so serious to you is because you're intentionally making a DRAWING a big deal and purposely getting offended by it, i don't find offensive at all. To be honest, I see a bunch of annoying comments alot like this but I would BET the only reason you people are ranting on about how "offensive" this may be is only because the character in this drawing isn't of the white race. I bet if she were white nobody would be saying shit like this I'm just putting that out there. Stfu

I don't think you looked too far into me. hi I'm cat and while I was involved in the hetalia fandom I learned about properly representing the population historically and currently with an oc and then kept telling others not to make white South Africas and D.C. ocs to avoid the mistakes younger me did.

You do realize that includes every continent but Antarctica right? So my issue wasn't just with this one. It was with all the continent ocs which had people regularly living on it. So the idea that I was only upset with this Africa oc was that she wasn't white holds even less water.
It trying to be cute doesn't mean it can't accidentally imply some bad things.

I love Africa OCs but how do you deal with not getting trolled by people who say that Africa not a nation, or that you made offensive?

That's because you make yours incredibly racist, and you provided an incredibly inaccurate depiction of the slave trade. You also provided an incredibly inaccurate depiction of how African people were years ago. Hers actually seems okay, probably because it's modernised in a non-racist manner.

It really seems like you haven't, and your Africa OC in itself is an incredibly inaccurate depiction of Africa. Go do a lot of research into present-day African culture, and past African culture. It'd save you from making a racist, inaccurate OC.
