While this image is not directly related, I figured with the release of Arkham Knight, now was an appropriate time to share my art of Batman.This work represents many of the elements that I believe make the dark knight one of the comic universe's best heroes. Gimme a "hell yes" if you agree!

I dont like very much the young Bruce figure, with details that reminds me about manga style (big eyes, femenine traits), but the concept is really good and your tecnique is superb. I particularly appreciate batman holding libra and roses (+necklace). A really good composition

The only things I find a little questionable are the placement of the ears on the cowl (he looks a little more cat than bat), and the fact that little Bruce is in Victorian clothing. Otherwise, this is awesome!

Good commentary! In painting this, I discovered just what a delicate task the ear placement on his mask is. Different options exhibit very different impressions. Many recent iterations of the Batman cowl feature the long, straight-up horns, but this is the orientation I preferred. As for the Victorian attire, that is one of my favorite aesthetics. Given that Batman has been translated into many different time eras and cultures, I wanted to choose an aesthetic that is identified with my style so I thought of what the bat suit and Bruce's child self would like were they based in a neo-Victorian Gotham City.
