Description
New artwork in the Book Project, based loosely on Callie Bates's "The Waking Land"! My goal with this one was to make something cinematic and dynamic - I guess I just like motion blur.
This is already number #8 in the Project, which makes me really happy. Next one is a work based on Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series. :3 Working on this was also a really nice break from blind panic - my student housing fell through and I'm working on finding a replacement - I fly out to Norway in two week to begin studying there. So, fun. Anyway, hope you like this one. I actually tried recording my work for the first time - turned out to be a bit more complicated than I expected, but here it is - a few minutes are available on Vimeo if you want to watch it: vimeo.com/227283079 . I think you get your goal pretty close. It's like out of a movie. I don't know this book, but it looks for me like out of Avalon or something like that. The combination of motion blur and grain makes an outstanding scene. Mostly everyone here works to get thing so smooth. So it's great to see someone works in a very different way
