I agree. I love the Asari also; they are my favorite race from the Mass Effect series. Seeing all of the Asari commandos dying like that…

And I felt really bad for poor Liara when she was crying her eyes out after the mission. I imagine my Shepard heard her sobs from outside her room. I wanted to hug her; a paragon interrupt to hug her would have made me hit the paragon interrupt button faster than any other paragon interrupt in any of the three games.

I cried so hard watching the asari die. Watching the Reapers exterminating them despite my best attempts... it really hits you doesnt it?

I felt sad on Thessia also, those Reapers! And Kai Leng had to rub it in! I hate Kai Leng SO much, I am glad he died by Shepard’s hands.

And poor Liara was so distressed during the Thessia mission and afterwards, I romanced her in the game.

Seeing all of the dead Asari commandos at the beginning of the mission, and the others slowly die off one by one and getting massacred was so sad.

I know. Kai Leng was alreay high on my list after Thane and the Citadel... when he beat me on Thessia... I think he was higher than the Illusive Man on my list.

Yeah I was romancing Liara, she's such a nice person I felt really bad watching her suffer.

It was horrible listening to the asari dying as more Reapers landed. That was a really emotional mission

I agree on that part.

When the Asari commando said Lieutenant Kurin, their commander, was down, I went β€œGet her and your team out of there now and get to the Temple and just run, do not shoot back!” in my head. I wanted them on the Normandy so we could get revenge by killing Kai Leng together. And have other Asari onboard other than Liara to learn even more about the Asari.

So sad, Kai Leng was my Enemy Number 1 to kill after Thessia. If the Illusive Man was there, I would kill Kai in front of him then he would be next.

It would have been really cool if you were able to rescue people during mission and add them to your crew. I know you can collect War Assets but wouldn't it be much better if you were able to have support teams?

Like first you pick your two squadmates and then you pick support,in this case having an asari commando unit...SWEET!

I agree

How did you feel when Liara said her people were dying by the millions? After she said that and after all that happened, I really really wanted Shepard to hug her.

I was heartbroken. I love the asari race. That's why I've started to create a fiction story based around a human called Maximillion Eclipse. He is an asari version of the Illusive Man who believes asari should be the only species in the galaxy. There is a whole tragic story behind this (he was dating an asari before she died to save his life)

Needless to say the only troops under his command are asari

Interesting story, I would like to read it. Can you send a link?

I so wanted Shepard to hug Liara after that awful mission. And how did you feel about the ending?

I felt so bad about the ending after I romanced Liara that I am creating an alternate universe story called Liara T’Soni: Rewriting History.

[Story]

Hope the link came through.

I felt terrible about the ending. A lot of people are doing their own versions of endings to try and cheer us up

Thanks.

There are a lot of alternate universe stories, and in my story, Liara is going to be the main character. She uses an escape pod when Joker runs away from the battle in the ending. She launches it while in mid FTL flight and the force of the red shockwave from the Crucible knocks her out. This is in the first chapter and the chapter is a prologue, which is about her crash landing on Naruto World. It is in an alternate universe and she had fallen through a portal that happened because of some mysterious, unknown event. Naruto World is in the Mass Effect galaxy and the Asari will arrive at some point several months before Mass Effect 1. So she can stop the terrible things from happening and stop the ending from happening also.

GeneralMaraxus In reply to Asari-are-hot [2012-06-03 22:23:48 +0000 UTC]

Red shockwave huh. The only option that lets Shepard live... but at the cost of the geth and EDI. Leave a review to let me know what you thought of my story so far please.

Naruto world? What system is that in?

And ME1 wasn't that long before the Reapers arrived anyway, I suppose they could build the crucible sooner but having all the future knowledge in her head could screw up the time line. Like she would know where Shepard's body is, she would know the Shadow Broker's spy, and so on

Asari-are-hot In reply to GeneralMaraxus [2012-06-03 22:29:34 +0000 UTC]

A system near Asari space and the Asari team that arrives will be from a ship that nearly gets shot down by Batarian warships but it kills the enemy ships and has to land to make emergency repairs such as a few damaged heat sinks, etc.

And in my story, the Asari are more advanced and there are other things I have outlined but I do not want to explain and risk spoiling all of it. It would be easier to explain things in-story.

Was not happy in Mass Effect 3 that Councilor Tevos hid the beacon info from Shepard. Politicians ruin a lot of things!

GeneralMaraxus In reply to Asari-are-hot [2012-06-03 22:33:32 +0000 UTC]

Well if the other species found out the asari have been using it to make themselves the supreme species in the galaxy it could lead to war over the beacon. The Asari could end up fighting the Batarians, or even the Turians

Asari-are-hot In reply to GeneralMaraxus [2012-06-03 22:43:54 +0000 UTC]

True, the Asari politicians did the wrong thing by hiding that Beacon.

Do you think the galaxy would have been more prepared for the Reapers if the Asari shared the technology?

In my story, they shared the technology and info from the Beacon, and I am going to include an Asari Matriarch named Dilinaga, who, in my story, lived 20,000 years ago. She wrote out a doctrine that is important still 20,000 years later. She fought an evil cult that many years ago, and the cult wanted to keep the Beacon for themselves. During the final battle, the Beacon exploded and took the Cultists with it and Dilinaga was badly injured from the explosion but pulled through and as she recovered, wrote her doctrine.
I just gave some things from my story that will be different since it is an alternate universe. The story of Matriarch Dilinaga will be told in detail in the story. I would bet something that important might be taught in the Serrice University on Thessia, where Liara went to school. You find out about her Serrice University equivalent of a graduation diploma when you do the Lair of the Shadow Broker mission.

I better stop talking about my story before I spoil more; I have an outline and have almost finished the first chapter. I will send a link when I post it. I do not want a giant wall o’ text here. Better to explain in the story.

I dont think so. I mean the Asari are the most powerful and advanced race yet the Reapers tore through them easily.

Sounds like it's going to be an amazing story. I look forward to reading it. The Shadow Broker mission was... long. But the Broker himself was easy to beat. Just duck behind cover and use the Collector Particle cannon. It tore through him like the Reapers did to earth's defense fleet

True, I was a soldier and I pretty much tore him apart.

I wanted to say your story is good so far. And I was wondering, did you shoot the Catalyst? I did shoot it because I did not want the three options.

You can shoot the kid? I must try that next time. But when it came down to it I chose Synthesis because Red meant geth and EDI died. NO! But green meant Joker and EDI were together. YES!

I played as a soldier as well... were you earthborn or colony? I was earth born

I put my soldier as Spacer, Sole Survivor.

Shooting him does not do anything, but I shot at him out of spite. You can still shoot the gun but you cannot hurt the Catalyst. I wish shooting him did something. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I'm sure it would make you feel better. How great would it be if you could kill him? You kill the Catalyst the Reapers all die. No need to use the Crucible

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Asari-are-hot In reply to GeneralMaraxus [2012-06-03 23:16:04 +0000 UTC]

That would be great to kill the Reapers by shooting the Catalyst.

I heard there is an Extended Ending DLC coming out but they are not changing the ending, just adding more cutscenes… poor Liara. She will likely not get the happy ending with Shepard. Time for fan fiction and alternate endings, we can show our hate of the ending by doing alternate endings.

In a way that's good. It brings all us ME fans together to add our own theories and ideas as endings. So despite the endings may have been terrible it has helped bring all the fans together. Good thing and a bad thing

I am wondering about something: during the nightmare dream sequences in Mass Effect 3, did you feel any feelings during the scenes?

Some people felt nothing and said they were boring.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GeneralMaraxus In reply to Asari-are-hot [2012-06-05 18:56:49 +0000 UTC]

Not really. Though it did sort of remind me of how many had died and that I couldnt save them

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Asari-are-hot In reply to GeneralMaraxus [2012-06-05 19:14:02 +0000 UTC]

I did not really feel anything because I saved almost everyone except for Mordin, Kirrahe (killed by Kai Leng because I forgot to talk to Thane), Legion, and maybe some other people but I am not 100% sure.

The background noises and whispering were the only good things about the dream sequences and made me feel something about my dead crew members. I believe my Shepard would be having nightmares about Liara, my LI, meeting with horrible fates such as:

1. Stepped on or fried by Reaper
2. Turned into Banshee in front Shepard’s eyes
3. Killed by Kai Leng in a horrible and brutal way such as getting shot in the gut or getting her throat slashed by his sword and leaving her to die in Shepard’s arms
4. Killed by a Cerberus trooper
5. Getting indoctrinated and turning on Shepard
6. Or any other horrible fate

This would make the dream sequences much more meaningful for people who romanced Liara.

For those who romanced someone else, that LI replaces Liara in the nightmares.

For those who chose not to romance anyone at all in the game, it could be either the dead crewmembers, or if no crew members died those who perished in previous games.

In a scenario where you saved everyone that your character cares about and not having any romance interest, the nightmare can be about something related to the background history of the character.

For Colonists, it can involve Batarians dragging off people to slavery or something like that.

GeneralMaraxus In reply to Asari-are-hot [2012-06-05 19:19:02 +0000 UTC]

I romanced Liara, every time. But it was obvious the nightmare was a warning to Shepard. That he would die when he used the Crucible. Well two of the choices which offer peace will kill you. Only by destroying your allies and friends might you survive
