Wow.. I really like how the waves look in this "O___O" Kinda gritty, but they're just overflowing (lol geddit) with detail. It's definitely a gorgeous view and I think the story behind it is even sweeter. I hope the best for them when they start their new lives together! Seriously, what a perfect view. I was always a fan of dawn and stuff XD
Right place at the right time indeed.. I'm sure the couple will totally appreciate this picture for years to come~
.. That pink cloud at the top sure sticks out for some reason XD Maybe it's a special cloud!

There is a nice 'layer' effect here; it's like a sandwich lol. The red/orange part of the sky is like...the ham..?

Heck yea she did lol. Well I still think the silhouette draws the viewer towards them because everything in this photo, how it's leveled off seems to be kind of geometric, and their bodies are very organic and stand out against the ocean quite well.
As far as the horizon, it's weird because the horizon doesn't seem straight, but their bodies are. I probably would have gotten closer, but I didn't really want to interrupt anything lol.

lol, its a nice photo, i like it. i just wish there was a way to get a long exposure on it, and keep those waves as nice as they are, and get the whole scene lighted up. oh well, gooddd job

i say rotate cuz the horizon is not level, thats why, only reason.

CapturingNature In reply to Genesis-Orbit [2007-05-15 04:29:26 +0000 UTC]
well, it balances ur photo better, it relieves the tension, the first thing i saw was the uneven horizon, it distracted my eye from the rest of the photo, instead of guiding my eye to the rest of the photo. To me, a horizon that is level extremely benefits the photo, especially in this instance because of the horizon being definite, i mean that there is no say building or mountain range that offsets your horizon, it is simply a line, and generally lines are better represented as parallel to eachother, or perpendicular. this is not in reference to the frame, but any line in general, but seeing as in this photo your main lines, are the horizon, and several waves... which are already parallel, but not perpendicular, so thats where the frame comes in.
so thats just why i say u should rotate it, sometimes rotated horizons can look good and benefit the photo. But in this instance i would say an even horizon would look much better!

Ohhh, ok I see what you mean, I thought you meant like, adding a big angle to the photo lol, you should have originally specified!

haha ya why would you rotate it...i dont know what that guy was talkin about...anyway... and ya there is a spot which i know is a bird but its at an angle where it just looks like a dot and is a little distracting
Great pic tho!!!
