Description
Ever since the rise of Marvel vs. Capcom, Capcom vs. SNK (and SNK vs. Capcom), Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Street Fighter X Tekken (and the upcoming Tekken X Street Fighter), we've always had are own dreams of what Capcom crossovers we'd love to see, whether it be Shonen Jump X Capcom, Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter, Darkstalkers vs. Blazblue, you name it.
Well here's a crossover I've been thinking of happening. What if Valve Software, the people behind favorites like Half-Life and Team Fortress 2, made a deal with Capcom and did a crossover where their characters are fighting Capcom icons? You get one hell of a crazy crossover in a package!

FAQs: (list is subjected to change)
Q: Would this game be made in Japan like the other Capcom crossovers or would it be made in America?
A: I think this game would be made in America, although it CAN be released into other countries, especially Japan.
Q: Would this game run on the Source engine? After all, this is Valve we're talking about.
A: ...Yes. And it would be the ONLY Capcom crossover to run on that engine. Normally, Source is used for first person shooters, but as certain games like DOTA 2 (an MOBA) will show you, it can also be used for other game genres. So I was thinking, maybe the Source engine can be used for fighting games without them having to be in first person. Not being first-perosn works for other game genres using that engine after all so the fighting genre shouldn't be hard to deal with.
Q: What do you think the game would be rated, especially since you got M-rated characters like the gruesome-looking Tank from Left 4 Dead?
A: ...Are you shitting me? I see the game as being rated T for Teen! Beside, I see no reason how the game could be rated M instead of T. I mean hell, I know plenty of T-rated games that have M-rated characters in them like Capcom's other crossovers (i.e. Marvel vs. Capcom with Resident Evil characters like the gruesome-looking Nemesis and Devil May Cry characters), Soulcalibur Broken Destiny and Playstation All-Star Battle Royale (both featuring Kratos from God of War), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (has Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid) and Injustice: Gods Among Us (has Scorpion from Mortal Kombat). So plainly speaking, who cares?
Q: How would the game play like?
A: Valve vs. Capcom would play like a mix of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and the Street Fighter EX games. As you can tell from the picture here, you can tag partners in matches. There are also super combo moves and hyper combo moves as well. So yeah, that's all I can say on that.
Q: What's the story for Valve vs. Capcom?
A: Let's just treat this issue like the one with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 where the story isn't really all that important, but expect a tie-in comic that talks about how GLaDOS wants to test everyone from different universes so she pulls a Master Hand from Super Smash Bros. and has them fighting eachother.
Q: Who's the final boss in Valve vs. Capcom?
A: GLaDOS. Granted, she'd play like Yami in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom with a little dose of Giygas in M.U.G.E.N., only without any mindscrewing nightmare fuel. The boss battle would start with you fighting Turrets of different kinds. Destroying each Turret will decrease the boss's health bar. The number of Turrets you destroy, the boss's health bar begins to go empty. Then the next phase is you fighting Atlas and P-Body, who are a tag-team just like you and your tag partner. After defeating them, the last phase is you up against the big computer system herself, GLaDOS, and she would have more tricks up her sleeve like shooting lasers at you and whatnot.
Q: Are there endings in Valve vs. Capcom? If so, what would they be like?
A: Yes, there are indeed endings for your character after beating arcade mode as him/her. The endings would be in the form of comic panels, with every panel depicting whatever's going on at each moment in the ending, along with character voiceovers.
Q: Still using the Street Fighter X Tekken principle, huh?
A: Yeah, so what? I wanted to include some guest fighters representing each side. For the Capcom side, I went with Deadpool since Capcom has had a long history with Marvel Comics, I guess dating back to something like X-Men: Children of Atom and Marvel Super Heroes, which led to X-Men vs. Street Fighter and thus we got the Marvel vs. Capcom series. For the Valve side, I wanted to go with something that is either related to Valve or a character who may not be related but is very memetic just like Valve Software's products are. So decided to choose internet character, Slender Man. Of course those guest fighters are available for all console versions and are unlockable. Meanwhile, you have exclusive guest fighters who are available for only one console and are actually selectable by default just like everyone else. For the PS3/PS4 version, I have Cole MacGrath from Infamous. I mean, if he gets to be in Street Fighter X Tekken, why not some other Capcom crossover? For the 360/XBOX ONE (and probably PC) version of the game, I chose Jago in the wake of the Killer Instinct reboot which is available on Xbox One.
On a related note: The reason there's no Wii U guest fighter for Valve vs. Capcom is because sadly, the Wii U doesn't support the Source engine so don't expect anything by Valve like Valve vs. Capcom to come out on that system apparently.
Q: About PTX-40A and Tank?
A: These are giant characters who can be fought in stage 4 in Arcade Mode. Also, because of their height, them being selected means they are solo characters so that means there are no tag partners for them.
Q: Why are you labeling the Capcom DLC's first row and the Valve DLC's second row?
A: I was thinking that there could be character DLC packs that would be already available via pre-ordering, unlike the DLC in Capcom's second row and Valve's first row, who would only be available a month or two later. The Street Fighter DLC pack features characters from STreet Fighter including Rolento from the spin-off Final Fight. Then you have the DOTA2 side where you have characters like Lina and the Crystal Maiden. I thought I'd include some other DOTA2 characters since, if you look at it this way, DOTA2 is LOADED with characters so you know.
