Description
The Yabby is a smooth native crayfish which lives in freshwater. It looks like a small lopster-brown, green or pale blue, and some types have red claws. They are tough little survivors, living in the most murky water and surviving during times of drought by hiding deep in the mud of the creekbed. Small as they are, Yabbies can cause damage to dam walls and levee banks.
