Description Elsa felt an odd sense of relief when her father left the room.  She’d told him that she had been reading out loud from a favorite book.  Thankfully he didn’t question her explanation as to why he had supposedly heard her talking to herself.  As always, he seemed anxious to leave her room.  He tried not to make it look so obvious - being King meant that he had a lot of work to do – but she could tell that her presence scared him.

Usually the reminder that her own parents were afraid to be around her intensified her feelings of despair and hatred for the powers that she had come to despise.  However, there was something else that intrigued her mind at the moment and she hurried back over to her window, where she hoped she would still find the presence she’d felt before.

“Hello?” her voice whispered for fear of anyone else hearing her.  “Are you still there?”  With a sense of desperation for the connection she had felt before, she touched the window pane that had been mysteriously frosted over – not by any power of her own – with words written to her in communication.  Believe… it had told her to believe.  Rather, he had told her to believe.  To believe in him, someone by the name of Jack Frost.

The glass beneath her fingers now felt warm from the rays of the springtime sun that filled her room.  Heart fallen, Elsa let out a sigh of disappointment and let her forehead fall to the window.  “I wanted to believe…,” her voice strained to be heard.  “I will believe… if you come back.”  The all too familiar feeling of loneliness started to clinch her heart.

Enough time had passed to almost make Elsa believe that she had been imagining things before the comforting sense of coolness returned.  It surrounded her as it had before, like a blanket, and enveloped her like a hug.  Her forehead grew cold as the glass beneath her skin frosted over once again.

“Jack? Jack Frost, is that you?” Elsa lifted her head to stare forward in hopeful anticipation.

Yes… wrote the word across the window pane.

Elsa’s heart filled with a sense of joy that she had long forgotten.  A smile, bigger than any she had given in a couple of years, spread across her face.  “Where are you?” she asked, looking around her. “Why can’t I see you?”

I’m here…  Rather than written, this time, she heard his answer.  Not with her ears, but in her heart.  Believe in me…

Closing her eyes, Elsa’s gloved hand came over her heart.  “I believe.  I do believe!” she spoke louder then she’d intended before she lowered her voice.  “I believe…” she whispered, again, wanting nothing more than to not be alone anymore.

“Then open your eyes and look at me.”

Elsa’s eyes opened in surprise at the sound of the unrecognizable voice and she stared at the person who was crouched down on his haunches before her.  She quickly took on a look of wonder at the sight of his white hair, so much like her own.  He was a boy, not yet a man, but older then she was.  It wasn’t long before a smile broke across her face, which he reciprocated.

“You can see me!”  He sounded just as surprised as Elsa felt.

“I can see you!” Elsa exclaimed and without warning she threw her small body into the older boy’s arms.  She didn’t have to be alone anymore!

“I don’t have to be alone anymore…”  Jack reciprocated her thoughts as he returned little Elsa’s hug.

Elsa pulled away to look at him curiously.  “You’re lonely, too?”

“Not anymore,” Jack grinned.  “Now we have each other.”

Sweet! (& hey I'm a girl leaving a comment)

I don't exactly ship them but I do like them as friends. I liked your writing style, it was very flowing and smooth.

In the ROTG I like it when Jack becomes visible. It was a really touching moment, so I liked how you incorporated that here with Elsa seeing/believing in Jack. I also like Jack's quote "Now we have each other" because it kind of parallels to Anna speaking to Elsa in "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" when she says, "We only have each other."

Thank you SO much for your comment!    I Truly appreciate it, and your feedback!  Now I really want to write the next chapter.  I have so many ideas for this, but I've got so much little time.  Work and life have been keeping me running running running. I can't guarantee when I'll have the next chapter up, but getting comments like this does motivate me!  Thanks again!

I'm really glad my comment helped!

I would suggest finding maybe 5-15 minutes to write a day, I'm certain you have that much free time at least! if 5 mins sounds easier for you to do then go with that. write a few minutes before you go to bed if you have the option. soon you chapter will be building up and ready for CH3.
