"Who knows the combination to that Vault?"  The masked man with the Glock 18 demanded to know.

"Only the… the owner," answered one of the salesmen of the jewelry shop, nodding in my direction.  I gulped and stared, wide eyed with fright, as the robber approached me with quick determination.  After roughly pulling me to my feet and jabbing the gun into my side, I was forced to walk forward.

"Open it!"

Staring blankly at the lock, I realized that I couldn't remember the numbers.  Was it thirteen, fourty-six, seventeen or seventeen, thirteen, fourty-six?  With a trembling hand I attempted the first to no avail.

"Hurry up!  What's the problem?"  The gun prodded deeper into my side and I quickly tried the second series of numbers.  Still, it didn't open.

"You're stalling!  If you don't open it now, you're dead!

Ahhh… I screamed in my head.  I can't think when my life's on the line!

A sudden crackling sound made me jump.  The gun dropped away and the assailant's body hit the floor with a loud thud.

"Are you alright?  Hurry, the police are on the way!" one of my saleswomen exclaimed, pulling me out of the office.

"What… was that?"  I managed to find my voice to ask.

"Oh!  It's my Taser."  She held up a pink rectangular object.  "My boyfriend bought it for me.  I carry it with me everywhere."
