I had the rough sketch for this piece sitting on my hard drive literally for years, so I figured now would be a good time to actually finish it and post it up, on the last day of Dinovember 2016. (Yes, I realize it's already December 1 for some of you out there.)Color version will be coming soon!
I'm thinking of offering HIGH QUALITY PRINTS of this for sale, either in full color once it's done, or as it is now. I'd like to gauge interest in that, so be sure to let me know what you think in the comments.
Can you tell I really like to draw jungle foliage?

The raptors guard their precious queen!
I absolutely love the fact that these are feathered raptors in Jurassic Park style.

The funny thing is when I sketched this I named the file "queen of the velociraptors." However, I then found out that in Jurassic Park, Spielberg and Crichton used the name velociraptor because it sounded more dramatic even though the dinosaur in question was based entirely on the larger deinonychus. Not to mention that deinonychus lived during the Cretaceous period and not the Jurassic. So a name change was in order.
