Description EDIT 4/10/12: Turns out I was one of the winners of the Devil May Cry 10th Anniversary Art Contest! Woo!

This piece is featured in the Bonus Gallery in the newly released Devil May Cry HD Collection for the PS3 and 360 and I am totally blown away. Not only did they include my art in the game, they also gave me a free copy and I got the following commentary from Capcom Creative Director and Devil May Cry veteran Hideaki Itsuno:

"Another pro? Would love to see this style of anime!! Real American feel to it; cool."

Original: I just had to do this since Devil May Cry is the best game of all time! For stylish hard action and super-cheesy one-liners, the original cannot be beat!

This is my entry for the Devil May Cry 10th Anniversary Art Contest, the winners of which will have their art included in a top secret unannounced Capcom game.

Haha, in Devil May Cry, that's EVERY boss! Okay, not exactly 5 or 6 times, but if I recall, you fight Phantom (and every boss) three times each.

I played the game on the hardest difficulty one can on there first playthrough and I never went back after the 7 hours in a day beating it

The perspective is off on the gun. It looks like it's pointing off to the side. The colors and style are great.

Thanks! I definitely wanted to stick to my style (angular, cartoony) for this piece to hopefully stand out against art that will probably be closer to the actual look of the games.

Haha, thanks Scott! My signature tends to change depending on how or where it fits in the piece. In this case I originally had a Devil May Cry logo in the lower left, which looked great, but I was advised by those running the contest to leave out any logos. Hence the huge signature!
