Thank you,Jones was a genius!
I wanted her character to express a genuine sweetness.(not cloying or goodie-two shoes self righteousness)
The Lady suffered for her people, and is remembered among her people with great love.

At that time Hasin women were treated rather shabbily in a lot of areas on Hasin(their home world)After the economic collapse of the old empire there was a rise in fundamentalist, nationalist and chauvinistic behavior(which almost destroyed the Hasin people),and some of the women's groups went to extremes like "men are to their servants for a change" and so on.
All Anghita wanted was for ALL Hasin (and all beings) regardless to be equal and free, and with the women leading the way for all.
Kahl believed in love, mercy, charity,to give to others and not ask for anything in return, to love all life, and for all to have a chance at happiness.
(I wish I was one tenth as wise and brave as that great Lady.)
We Earth folk could learn a lot from this Lady.
