Description

One of my still life drawings from last semester's Beginning Drawing course. I think this is my most favorite piece out of all of the work I've done throughout the whole semester. I like working with the brown paper since it already has that foreground color in the background, so if I use my conte crayons I don't have to worry too much about how I'm going to figure out the value scale. lol I also had a lot of fun drawing my gas mask, since I've been wanting to sketch and color it for quite some time.

More still life drawings coming soon!

Drawn with vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, and conte crayons on brown paper.

Thank you very much!

I like how the shine turned out too. I think that's the detail that got the most positive feedback during my in-class critique. lol
