Yes, that is an amazing dress, and youΒ manage to fill it so nicely as well. Fantastic shot. I would have seriously considered buying a print of this image, but I see he was shooting at the lowest aperture and a fairly high ISO for the sake a a much faster shutter speed than he needed, so it would not print very clearly, but thank you for sharing these with us.

Actually, the prints look amazing since my Canon 6D behaves really well at really high Iso. Also you need the fast shutter speed for a high focal length. (ps: Iso 400 is not high at all for this camera, you can easily go way higher without noticing the high Iso and i often do )

I am plenty familiar with ISO and full frame cameras. Just last weekend IΒ shot in a studio with my full frame Nikon andΒ 3 strobes, but the owner of the studio set them lowΒ to shoot at 200 ISO for some strange reason. ProcessingΒ those images in RAW were still way to saturated with camera noise. It was a disaster.Β I shot half the time at 100 and it was noticeably better. My camera also has camera noise reduction on the jpg files it saves and it will make a 2000 ISO image look OK, but it does sacrifice image clarity to do that.Β I am sure if you look at your RAW image files you will see what I am talking about.

I was actually talking about the raw files. Just take a look at the 100% piece that i took a screenshot for you in darktable.
Β
(I hope that dA doesn't scale it, so that you can see what I mean)
Not all full frame cameras have the same noise at the same Iso.

Greetings again and thank you for taking the time to respond with this details reply. Please keep in mind here I am a fan of your beautiful art, and feel your eye for creating such impressive images is unique and well worthy of a calendar, which is why I bought one.
Yes, I was able to see your unaltered image crop at full size on my 42" monitor, and I can still see it does look like a typical 400 ISO shot that would not make a good clear print of a larger size than this small calendar. You actually made my point here quite well with this image. If you do any alterations to brighten it up or increase the contrast and color saturation this blotchy look will get even worse. As I had written in my journal here on DA a low ISO will also give you a much more realistic and vibrant color, where this looks rather flat and lifeless and would require a good deal of pushing this image to be presentable.
In an effort to use a similar example for comparison here is an unaltered RAW image from my camera at 400 ISO cropped down to screen size, which to me in unacceptable:
And here is a 64 ISO image cropped the same way:
If you are not shooting at the lowest possible ISO your camera will allow you are just wasting time. You might as well be shooting with your IPhone.
