Hmm.. I can live with Zutara because it was proved as not cannon
I actually like most of the Avatar couples, but to pick one out that hate... Probably Tuke (Toph and The Duke) 
Otherwise, I guess I don't really understand Taang that much. My only thing is that their the same age while Katara is older than Aang. Normally I hate the female being too much older than the male, but I can totally forgive it for them because of A, the whole frozen in ice for 100 years thing and B, the fact that Aang is the AVATAR, the all powerful peace-keeping hope for the world. At the point right after he he takes away the Fire Lords bending, there is a shot where he kid of tips over a little, but then pulls himself up. The way it's kind of from the bottom and he's kind of burned, but still looking strong, this is where I feel comfortable shipping with Katara, aside the age difference, aside the "goofy kid" he used to be. Same thing with Zutara. I'm not going to be Tanng/Zutara because Katara is Older than Aang and this is why.
