Description
So it's my first deviation here, i hope you'll enjoy my vision of the fight between Chaos and the Emperor of mankind.I did it for a little online contest in 2008 with just a pencil (no ink on it).
Characters inspired by the huge universe of Warhammer 40000.

I felt so bad, Horus was used by a real scumbag and it lead to the most heart-breaking choice the emperor had to make, kill his own son. I bet he shed a few tears too

The only problem is that Chaos is far more badass and evil than the Rebel Alliance

Always made me wonder if the Emperor was a God of Order against chaos. Anyways it is a nice depiction the suffering man, I believe the Emperor himself describes his current state as endless agony and torment, constantly on vigil against the forces of Chaos, even at near death.

i feel so sorry for the emperor everything he worked so hard for failed half his sons betrayed him and he had to kill horus and now he's a corpse on the golden throne fighting the chaos gods he should not have to suffer so much all he wanted to do was save mankind

Im just itching to see what will happen when the emperor finally fall in the story.Will the illuminatti be successful in paving the way to rebirth the emperor?Will the chaos gods finally took control?Or something different all together?Like the emperor miraculously ressurected from the undeath.

Maybe Cypher will prove himself to be "loyal" in his own way - and slay the emperor with the Lion sword in order for him to be reborn...
But then it would be the end of 40k, so yeah - we probably will never know
Certainly the Emperor would hate what the Imperium has become - especially the Ecclesiarchy...

This is awesome.
Very nice depiction. The only thing I would say I am unsure on is the manner in which the Emperor seems to be in Anguish. Are the Chaos Gods saying "You're one of us now, buddy", or are they tormenting him? Either way, I'm sure he's not too happy about it.
I would've depicted him in rage and horror, trying to fight them off, but nevertheless, this is a wonderful piece!

The old background of 40K says that the emperor is now tired of a long spiritual struggle against the Chaos Gods, since he's on the golden throne after his fight with Horus -now you understand the title 
They are trying to convince him to leave mankind and his duty, but after so many years he's just too tired to fight back.
So he covers his ears and screams like a child, imprisoned in his dead body. That's what I wanted to show.
