Description ***NOTE: I know this is quite late all things considered but with work the way it has been lately the free time and energy to draw or make just about any kind of art has been a precious and rare commodity, sorry about that.***

Lately due to how Games Workshop has been handling its Warhammer 40K IP, particularly in regards to fan-created content such as fanart and videos, there has been an exodus of fans leaving Warhammer 40K for other franchises. Many of these, what has been dubbed the "Warhammer Diaspora", have decided to come into the Battletech community. This picture is sort of my way of welcoming these fellow gamer refugees into this fandom I hold so dear and a show of support for what they are enduring. I know the Clans have been and remain a devise topic in Battletech but I chose to draw a Clan Elemental because it is Battletech's nearest analog to Warhammer 40K's Space Marines, though this drawing makes it equally clear that I have much more experience drawing Elementals than Space Marines. Before anyone asks yes the battered Space Marine is meant to be from the Lamenters Chapter. The Battletech community has put up with so much IP related woes for many decades and yet we stubbornly survive, outlasting even FASA and continuously raising the Double Bird Salute to those who would threaten our beloved hobby and we endure. I want those who are feeling defeated by what Games Workshop has put them through to know it can get better. The text above, however, is primarily directed at the players and fan creators who intend to return to the Warhammer 40K franchise. I know many plan on leaving it for good but that many others do intend on returning. I welcome both, be they here to stay or merely seeking a port in the storm. To those meaning to return, or are actually staying but branching out, I wish to extend words of encouragement. When the time comes, and it will come, rise and show Games Workshop you are stronger than their litigiousness, that their franchise lives or dies not by their hold on their IP but by the fans' engagement with the IP. You are stronger than Games Workshop realizes, and you will have the opportunity to show them. Stay strong, remember:

"Now is the time
To prove
What we know to be true
That we shall conquer all."
-Clan Ghost Bear Remembrance Passage 155, Verse 2, Lines 45-48
