I can see youβve worked hard with this, and youβve done well with creating a mood for the image. His arm and hand is also good. For constructive criticism there are some points Iβd like to mention though:
One is that it would really help the dark mood if Cloud had more shadow, that is, darker and more defined shadows. Heβs looking a little flat at the moment.
Another is that while youβre off with a good start with the background, it looks just a little bit too undefined to me, especially when Cloud is so crisply outlined. The water in particular could be made clearer, perhaps with some brighter white on the foaming edges?

He fit in well there though...was originally intending to draw him myself, but I had to be able to finish in time and I had neither the time or strength to do that. So a simple image from google for now, until I clear up some time to paint him out.

I can just feel the emotion pour out of this, everything works well to set the mood. I really like the faded image of Zack to the left, it adds a subtle yet nice touch to the overall image.

Well, the work paid off!
Yeah, you're right! Kinda long story my friend and I had this afternoon. My friend and Vincent have the same birthday. My friend said that people with the same birthday don't usually get along too well. Then, I said if she were dating Cloud, Cloud would have to choose between Vincent and his girlfriend becasue they don't like each other. Cloud would then push his girlfriend out of the way and say, "Sorry, but Vince here is my friend and my depression drinking buddy." Then, Cloud would get depressed becasue someone he felt import to him is gone from his life again and Vincent and Cloud would have a long night at a local bar....
