Description Another batch of "tribalesque" stuff

Fun fact: Two shapes were used to make these 3 composites, both those shapes were also to make my other design Random Tribal 2.

Hope you like it.

This continues to amaze me.
I find myself staring at this for several minutes.
This image has been bookmarked for a long time, and I have to say, it never gets boring.

I am working on a new one that is basically a border style to surround an eye piece based on another artist's work (with permission ofcourse) for a friend of mine here in Cape Town.

Stay tuned

do you work at a tatoo parlour or just draw designs?

GifHaas In reply to KadajAdvent [2006-10-04 20:28:16 +0000 UTC]

Heh, I just draw designs I do not have the hands that are steady enough to run amuck with a need on flesh (I shake like a nicotine addict going through withdrawals most of the times and I dont even smoke to begin with )

Would love to freelance for a parlor or something of the like, but I keep not getting around to it

Wow! Thats Awesome. I really love the color fade as well. =3

Thankyou very much - main reason I used the colour fading is to highlight the details when the objects overlap - sold black would be just a mess.

Ah. That is true. But once again, good job. I could never do something like that

GifHaas In reply to Klage [2004-11-07 20:04:43 +0000 UTC]

Nah, once you know how its real easy. Just a matter of making a shape and then toying with multiples of it until you are happy.

I have a thing for red, white, black compilations or colours gradients going from basic colour to black.

Thankyou for the added watch, I am honoured

Yea I 've used those colores in some N.W. tribal stuf .My lines are'nt that great but I like the way they look colored.
Stuf on youre gllery is great.

My lines tend to be smooth because I use vector art instead of pen/pencil/conventional raster programs like photoshop or other.

Vector imaging with programs like Flash or Freehand are ideal for tribal style designs because of the simplicity of these works and the smooth lines needed.

Hmm, its definatly unique, but to me it feels like its taking away from the tribal feel ( the vector, not the idea). I say this because it isnt as grungy, its just alitle differant to see tattos drawn so cleanly and everything. Everything is so clean, like so perfect, it's off-balancing.

The deviant is f*cking awsome, I'm just critizing the methods you use, no offense intended.

lol, fair enough.

But think of it like this: When you have a tattoo done and you have a great idea for the tattoo to be done, but you were only able to sketch a small version of it, now:

Would you want to redraw a bigger version of it and hope it comes out right OR just resize your last image and have the EXACT same detail as you drew before?

This is essintiacly (pardon my spelling) what vector drawing allows me to do, I can make pictures as big or as small as I need to without losing the quality of them - The work still has the essance (once again pardon the spelling) of the person who made it (in this case me) weather drawn with pens or with vectors, some one put alot of love and thought into a design and thought "Yeah, I think I will keep this one"
