Shouldn't the title of the book be in... You know... Title case? And... It's not just me, the "a" in "a great and powerful" is unnecessary, right?

That would actually probably explain the mistake pretty easily, lol.
Basically, what I was saying: "Title case" refers to the proper capitalization for a title. For the book you had, it should be capitalized as "How to Become a Great and Mighty". I honestly can't explain how title case works properly, it amounts more-or-less to "capitalize the beginning of every word, except for small ones". I'm sure there's a grammatical reasoning behind it, but that's how I remember it.
The "a" in "Become a Great and Mighty" is grammatically incorrect, though.
