I knew it from the startI felt it in my dreams
That bad omen in my window
Watching me when I woke up
It was harder getting out of bed
Still, I threw an old shirt on my back
The morning air was freezing my thoughts
I had that bad feeling once again
The coffee tastes horrible
Too sweet
I can't break free from this
I'm just in too deep.
The paper tells nothing but pain
All that comes to my mind is your name
It's going to be one of these days

The cigarette slowly chokes me
To death

The phone rings like a fire alarm
I answer it with a sore throat
Your voice still sounds the same

The words cut me like a knife

Like ants crawling down my thoughts
Like the empty closet when you had to go
Like the bad omen watching my window

It felt like bad things are going to happen.
Still, it was a pretty good day
