He looks as if he thinks that there is nothing better to life than what actors and actresses do on TV; or he's living in a depressed time and wants to be like the cartoons, they never hurt or truely "die." That's what I feel about it. It's an excellent shot though! So deep.

Actually itΒ΄s a simple idea, but gives so much you can think about.
In my opinion it shows how dependent so many kids and children are, because of the TV. Their parents donΒ΄t care about them that much, but tell them to watch tv.

in my perspective... i think that the boy's parents dont care about him, so they just sit him down in a room with a tv, sucking away his life, its a great picture

Simple, very nice idea. The influence of mainstream media/tv on the average person.
All that the boy can see is the television, nothing else can be seen on the photo.
All he does is staring in the idiot box. This destroys your judgement, you do not think for yourself etc.
That's the problem with people. Turn off your television, go do something.
Think for yourself, question authority.
