Description
From the womb to the tomb
Have you ever wondered
What world will be left behind
Once we are doomed

In the day all hope is lost
Will new life emerge from the ruins?
As a silent proof
Life is stronger than the living

****

I hope you feel this one.
It was hard to get to this location.
Still, once I spotted it, while driving, I knew I had to go there.
I waited for a good 'sky' for InfraRed and drove there.
Just off the Highway, near Hadera.
I had to park the car in a gas station, and walk for about 2 miles.
I hope you think it was worth it. I do.

Infra Red shot.
2 seconds exposure at F22
28mm Nikon lens + Hoya R72

Life still looks beautiful when the iris is far from open.

Just to let you know, this picture astounds me. I started working on a piece of fiction this month, and browsing for inspiration here, I can honestly say that this fits what I have written SCARILY well. Your sky is amazing, and I love the contrast between the pure white tree and the destruction surrounding it.

Keep up the good work. (Even though I know this was a long time ago.)

I would like to feature this in a photography article on SD magazine.com -- you will be credited along with a link back to your deviant profile, and the article is going up soon, so if you would like to have this piece removed (it is outside of dA) just note me and i'll take it off ASAP.

Beautiful piece. Been on my favorites for a while.

i really like this picture. ive just started shooting infrared photos myself so therefore still new at getting the correct colors i feel are nessesary for the picture, so if you dont mind me asking, how did you get the color for the sky???

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

gilad In reply to jlbradford [2006-09-09 20:40:06 +0000 UTC]

Infra Red photography..
Read the Infra red guide from the link in my signiture

jlbradford In reply to gilad [2006-09-09 20:58:04 +0000 UTC]

ive already got your link bookmarked and have used the info in there to start out with. thanks for that link because i would have been lost with this style without the info in there.

but what im trying to get around to is the actual picture came out to be where the sky would be brown??
because ive taken a few shot already and i dont know how you get your colors like that. it has to be in PS right? i can get my pics to come out like they are supposed to but you go far beyond what i could imagine this filter could do. which is great because your infrared pictures are what really inspired me to start taking these kind of images.

gilad In reply to jlbradford [2006-09-09 20:59:59 +0000 UTC]

It turns out brown, if you get the WB right, and if your camera is up to Infra Red work (what camera is it?)

Worth it?...how could you even ask!...this shot is one of the best in your whole gallery!! What I love the most about this image is the life, death and rebirth concept that it invokes...and considering I thought the tree was a nuclear mushroom cloud at first...well...it sent me off into some very deep thought indeed...

Amazing and powerful work...well done...
