Description This was taken during the "The holiday of holidays festival" at Vadi Nisnas, Haifa.
The Neighborhood, that through out the year is an Arabic one, turns in December to a symbol of co-existence, when all the people just get sucked into the holiday spirits.

This woman was standing inside a small vegetable store, waiting for traffic.
The writing on the scales sais: "scales of the land".
It's symbolic and Amen to that. Let's all be equale.
It's will be a wonderful worls if it was a little more well balanced.

It's a beautiful photograph. The composition is remarkable. What's Haifa like? My family is originally from Al-Khalil. But I've never been.

You have an exceptional gallery, thanks for sharing.

Another beauty!

Question (if you have a moment, since you seem to be in great demand): How do you go about taking such a confronting photo? Do you ask permission first, or do you quietly mention to her afterwards that you've taken the picture? Or maybe you took it from quite far away, using a zoom lens? Sorry, that's 3 questions, but they're all the same theme!

I always feel too nervous to take pictures of people, because I don't want to offend them or make them change their behaviour when they see the camera. I have a lot of lovely photos of people's backs as they were walking away from me!! I think professional photographers must have a very strong nerve, being able to take pictures openly without influencing the subject.

Congratulations again - your work is stunning.

Wow the process couldnt fit better, it emphasizes the look of the photo even more to the right mood and message. You sure have the "eye" , the will , and the tools to send your messages. Fabulous.

although according to the continuous blood shed in gaza it is hard for me to believe in co-existence... i really liked the story u're trying to tell...

a great picture to illustrate the idea of coexistence, lets hope that one day, soon, people in this land will be able to put the past behind and new bright future of coexistence takes the place of this bleak present...

first off, i love this image. the angle, the body language, the expression... the context really enhances them too. but here's what really strikes me about this image: the textures are phenomenal. how on earth do you capture such small, small details? or is it just that everything in this picture has a naturally defined texture?

really wonderful work. i love your gallery.
