09/14/2015 - Recently tried doing a rougher/messy style of animation to speed up production. It's basically keeping the line work rough, and relying on the fills/shading colors hide the stray lines. It looks pretty good in its final form, but the actual process of doing fills is complicated by the unclean line-work. I decided to draw a different stick figure, Sthomas for practice. In this Photoshop drawing, I utilized the "levels" tool, which applies a different color to the highlights, mediums, and shadows of an image.

During this session, my fellow anim competitor, Camilla, kindly drew a rendition of GG for me. Although the new animation is even more work than Rhythm & Rockets, I must push on!
