I don't get to make family cakes anymore (not that I was anywhere near this good, but I liked making them personal with people's favorite animals/cartoons/hobbies); I'm now the last NON-diabetic member of my family.
And since none of us like the taste of artificial sweeteners, that option's ruled out too.

..and that's a shame. It's more enjoyable to make cakes for family
with their likes and personal touches. I love the challenge too as my girls
request all sorts of things that sometimes I wonder if I'm going to be
able to make.

I did up to a few years ago for my gamers: A book-shaped cake for the mage, and an avil for the half-orc learning smithcraft--but my hand tremors reached the point where I could no longer do anything recognizable.
