Wow that's gotta suck and painful D:. That kind of happened to my friend she had those invisible vein thingies and the kept sticking those things in her skin. We went to, I think, two places to do this and finally she got a different doctor who knew how to do that.

I never really understood schizophrenia... HOw does it affect you?

Yeah it is.
By the way, nevermind since schizophrenia really is the least understood among mental disorders. Well, at the very most they know, schizophrenia is when your right brain(which emphasizes on imagination) is activated so much more in the price of getting your left brain(which emphasizes on logic) activated so much less compared to the right brain. In my own words, is what I'd call "brain capabilities distribution disorder"
As said, with the left brain disabled, our logic don't excel as much as how other people do. For one, I can only do junior high mathematics.. Im in trouble since no matter how much I study maths in high school, I only understand very little of it.
As for the hyper activation of the right brain, we hallucinate and experience delusion times as much. And tend to have better understandings on things that require unworldly logic.
To put it simply.. It's like that. There's much more you can read over here:- [link] It's more of a hell compared to a gift at first, only turned the other way round until Im partly cured of it, which was around March of this year. Now that had happened, I feel really greateful.

You can cure yourself?
Wow.... I know someone who has a disorder almost like that...
But he makes it sound like hell...
He's not an IRL friend, but from reading his messages and journals, he always sounds upset...

Well.. Not exactly cure. You know how you feel better when you know things more? Well all I did was just that.. It's still bad, though not as worse and at least there are improvements. Though, I only found that out this year, the years before that I used to suffer like hell. To tell it's nowhere different from that someone you mentioned.
I believe I've studied enough of it that Im able to diagnose a bit of it. Well to put it at the simplest, people who suffer from this disorder is divided into two, depends on how they used to live their live perviously; passive or aggressive in behaviour as a major. Im the passive type- I tend to seclude and isolate myself from the society since early teen, which was when I started suffering from it. Passive types tend to back down and refuse to take actions, and what has led them to this would most probably be being distressed while having a confused beliefs in absolute restrictions-like religious restrictions for one.
As for aggressive types, it's usually those who aren't restricted by anything- just that they're distressed by the environmental factors. They tend to act violent and are the ones who tend to receive treatments compared to passive types- since they're more open than us by most. What the drugs do for this is only calming the aggression down. But they still get confused in the meanwhile. Some patients who lose control stop taking their treatments intentionally because they felt threatened by it- because it forces them to back down.
Problems also occur as regular consumers somehow blocked from their source of calming treatment as they're used to consuming those. And when they're missing they'll go much crazier- like an addict.
For that, Im glad I never do receive any treatment for it. It may be a simpler way of overcoming it, but the risk is higher. And there are some things that can pierce through the drug's effects. Many things.
Being a patient of it myself, I feel poor for the others who suffer the same. I hear they're treated badly overseas...
