Description *first of all I would like to tell my historical fashion fans that I am well aware of the historical inaccuracies concerning the hair and clothing in these sketches--they were done on purpose *

Okay! Remember my "Disney" princess, Tired Princess Goldy [link] ? I designed her a friend! Princess Candy (oooh she's Italian). She can't hold still and loves to sing more than the average princess.

...aaaaaand the pictures in which Candy is old and Goldy is NOT tired are part of their story, which I'm not telling.

They have a story, too?

Girl, you have way too many stories. XD

GingerOpal In reply to haius [2011-02-19 02:49:47 +0000 UTC]

Well, this one's a short story. And actually... it's going to turn into a musical. I even a few songs already written for it. Yes, I'm a nerd.

With the exception of the comic-book-idea-that-can-go-on-for-eternity, all of my other story ideas are shorter than RnR...thank goodness!

Admittedly, I even have songs written for RnR. Like, just for inspiration. But...that's a secret.

That's okay, I definitely made some songs for my story too. Except I stole most of the tunes. Or probably stole the tunes without knowing it. They're all very silly and dumb, so you can feel better about yourself. XD

And when I was a high schooler obsessed with LotR, I recorded about five songs for a LotR musical I was going to make. They were great songs (I think), but I stupidly did not back them up, and they got deleted. T________T

I WANT TO HEAR THESE SONGS. Maybe when I finish the whole thing? Like, as a reward?

GingerOpal In reply to IslaAntonello [2009-03-24 00:32:02 +0000 UTC]

Well, Goldy is very early 1400s, while Candy is mid-1400's with 1890's hair. Although I'm sure Goldy's hair would not be welcome in Gothic times either.

This must be a new story you made up, cuz I don't recognize them from your stories.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GingerOpal In reply to Ihha [2008-12-19 02:20:21 +0000 UTC]

This is actually a much more refined and modified version of the musical I was writing in high school for He-Who-We-Don't-Like-To-Name. I'd like to publish it as a short novel first and then try to publish it as a musical. It will probably take me that long to get the music written, since I never got to take those music theory classes at college that were supposed to help me out. It's gonna be good! Dad even heard one of the songs I wrote for it and he liked it. And dad's a tough cookie to please!

I'll tell you about it. And perhaps you can help me with the one little loophole I've got stuck in my plot.

Oh yeah I remember that. That guy was a jerk good thing you didn't finish it he probably would of stole it from you. And this is for him ...no not violent enough

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GingerOpal In reply to Ihha [2008-12-19 05:38:17 +0000 UTC]

Still not violent enough. I think it would be satisfying to see him suffer some mental/emotional disturbia from playing too many mind games.

Candy's hair is AWESOME! And their dresses are so pretty too

I hope whoever publishes your stories will make the books illustrated(by you, of course!)

Princesses! I like how different their styles of dresses are. Is this story part of the book with Dahlia and Azura (etc) or different story?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GingerOpal In reply to Rose-Rayne [2008-12-17 05:01:18 +0000 UTC]

It's a different story. This is the one I'd like to write after I'm finished with Azura's story.

I want both of thier dresses. ...and I want Candy's hair.

Ah! Is your novel going to be illustrated with your awesome sketches?

I rather have Candy's Dress and Goldy's hair.

OH LORD they are adorable. Candy reminds me of Belle if Belle was from the Victorian era. Not her clothes nessecarily, but her hairstyle.

AND she sings.

Poor sleepy Goldy!

'Tis one of my fav fashion periods.

I'm also very fond of everything between 1880 up to 1930. I like stuff from every time period, but those are my favorites.

I think I'd have to agree. One would think I fell straight out of 1922.

Ra-ooo [2008-12-16 06:36:24 +0000 UTC]

Ah, they're both very pretty. Goldy looks more mature when she's not tired. And their dresses look very nice even if they're not accurate. They're simple but very fitting to them.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GingerOpal In reply to Ra-ooo [2008-12-16 06:41:56 +0000 UTC]

The dresses are fairly accurate to their own (different) times, but Candy's hairstyle is about 500 years ahead of her dress.
