Howdy, y'all! I thought to post a picture of my fur child.To those who don't know, I've had this fur child for 2 and a half years, I believe? She's 3 now. This is my Tortoise Shell, (Tortie for short for those not familiar with their fur pigments), I named Mae Dae. After a certain cat seen in the game Night in the Woods. I know she's not all black, but I thought it was a pretty name to give her. And she responds to it and runs over when called. So there, it stuck.
She helps me with my anxiety and depression when I have a bad day and keeps my company. Right now, she is laying on my lap as I prepare to sketch a new art piece.
My once little kitten, now a grown lady. You've grown so much. I'll love you, forever and always. β€οΈ

Cats can be....can
Mine is a black cat we took in as a stray and she's the most unsocial cat we've ever owned lol

Really? Mae was the same when I got her. But I loved her with all my heart and I still do. Even though she is very chatty, like her mama. Lol

Yeah we haven't managed to 'break her in' yet lol. She still has her golden moments, and this just shows how different cats can be; they're not all the same

Nope! All cats are different. Even their fur color is different. Breeds are different as well as personality. And I find it all so fascinating. ^^

And Mae, I found out to be quite possessive. Especially to her hooman mama. Literally attached to my hip and follows me everywhere. I don't mind it as long as she doesn't trip me. Which she often does. XD

Mine just looks all cute when she wants to be fed, which in her mind seems to be every couple of hours XD

Same with mine. Or if I have cat treats. I got some seafood flavor soft chews that are supposed to help with her hairball dilemma. I shake the bag and she meows like crazy and runs to catch a treat I would toss. XD

oh don't get me started on hairballs...my cat hates being brushed....yeah my cat is weird.
You throw a treat to my cat she loses track of it and just looks at you like "Another please you lost my first" lol

Mae hates getting brushed, too. She'll turn around and try to bite and pull at the brush or comb. And she coughs out hairballs which concern me sometimes because I caught her wheezing. Nothing happened and they were able to come out... One way or another.

We've had a few...surprise hairballs on the carpet...stepped on by us (yuck). I mean we complain about her but we love her really

Same with mine. Moe was the one to leave ones on the floor. I stepped on one and I got scared thinking it was something else. XD

Sometimes my cats wish to hunt, but gotta stay in doors on some days. When they're are cars out, people walking their dogs, etc.

pfft my cat only hunts the food dish...thankfully, and she can be timid so she avoids cars and dogs. Not people though, all people are 'feeding people' in her eyes XD

Let me explain. So, last year, during a doctor's visit, a nurse was checking my blood pressure. Her name was May. I was shocked to where out loud I say, "Wait, your name is May?"
She confirms this and I laugh a bit and explain to her why I thought it was funny.
1. Her name was May.
2. My grandma has a dog named Daisy May.
3. I have a cat named Mae Dae.
4. It was in middle to late in the month of May at the time.
Both the nurse and I died laughing and she jokingly diagnosed me with May Fever. XD
