Description Why Autumn?... I have no idea... it was the first thing that popped in my head when trying to think of a name for this haha... not the best title but it'll do...

I've been having some troubles finishing pieces lately... partially because I've been challenging myself possibly too much, so I decided to just keep things simple so I can actually come to finishing!... I gotta say it feels real nice to finally finish something

anywho... more of these simple pieces until I work up a bit more confidence in my skillset to take up something more challenging!

Hope you like it!

A very tall facial structure, yet a surprisingly well done balance to it, seems natural because of that. Β

Her facial expression is annoyed but spacey. I love her finely crafted features. She's stunning! x-x

very nice work on shading. I think the contrast could be a little higher so that the figure or her face stands out a little more.. but never the less good work on painting

Wonderfulβ™₯ Looks so good, do you have any tutorials that you could recommend for that realistic drawing?

hey thanks!

I highly recommend imaginefx's tutorials as they've helped me quite a bit in my quest for more knowledge. If you haven't already subscribed to their magazine I would definitely do so ASAP. They have quite a few free tutorials on their website as well. There are a lot of tutorials floating around on YouTube (just type in whatever it is you're looking to improve on and I'm sure you'll find plenty!). Also, here on DA there are quite a few helpful tutorials and artistic processes by other artists that I've found to be really helpful.

Above anything though I'd say the most important thing is to really understand what it is that you are drawing/painting as that makes painting the subject a whole heck of a lot easier! Do plenty of studies of anything and everything and whatever it is that you are struggling with (knowing anatomy inside out is extremely helpful). Draw it over and over and over again until you really grasp the forms and can visualize it rather easily in your head. I'm still trying real hard to improve on this as it can take quite a while but I think studies are key really.

Anywho hopefully that helped!

Thanks again for the comment!

Cheers!
