And the "Elisabeth" group costumes are over (for now xD)!! XDThis is Der Tod's coat in the "Rondo of Love and Death" (愛と死の輪舞 in Japanese) scene from Takarazuka's 2007 version of "Elisabeth" by the Snow Troupe :snow:
I made the coat and the base design for the crystals, and my friend Vane (whom the costume is for
) attached all the HUNDREDS of crystals that are on XXDWith hundreds I mean hundreds. This is no joke XD I just didn't have the time to help her but she did a great job by herself
The coat is made of blueish-black cotton with linen bias borders, the bast for the crystals is made with silver thread cotton and the crystals are a mix of round, long and esagonal designs in black, silver, clear and multicolour
The shirt underneath is a bought one that Vane used for the actual cosplay, and the waist band is made of the same silver thread cotton as the base of the crystals

I haven't been making Takarazuka-inspired costumes in a little while because portfolio called for different projects but it's still I think one of the biggest influences in my creative process

I know Ichiro Maki - she's one of my mom's fav Elisabeth cast memebers, although the Japanese Tod wigs scare her a bit

It was a pain to make and I have to admit that I'm really sad that me and my friend who wore this are so different in size because I'd have wanted to wear it too XXXXDDDD

It's a bit complicated to say because this took some 200+ hours to make (expecially for the decorations, that's it...), I don't think I could ask you less than 350€ or something like that
But the biggest problem is that I only work with close by clients because I'm a bit of a size freak and I can't really work with standard sizes

Ah, it's a Mizu!Tod costume! I adore that coat. It looks amazing. I can only imagine how long it took her to attach all those crystals...the mind boggles.
