In memory of all the people who were killed by the earthquake or the following tsunami in Japan on March 11, 2011.
This is supposed to remind us that nuclear energy is and will remain a dangerous technology, and also that even the strongest and best secured buildings are not invulnerable against the forces of nature.
I really hope the workers at the Fukushima Power Plant can get the situation under control and prevent another major catastrophe.
The japanese signs are called Kibou and mean "Hope".
