I agree that it sucks having someone else claim your work as theirs. That being said, I think that if we post anything on the internet we can't expect it to not be exploited. Unfortunately, not everyone is has the same sense of morality that we do. I'd see what can be done as they are obviously benefiting financially from your hard work, but I guess you could take it as a compliment that you have taken some VERY awesome photographs. Not many folks have the talent or patience that you have. Thanks for sharing your photos. I enjoyed what I've seen so far.

what really bugs me is that Ketchikan is a small town and I spent years there...these people no doubt know who I am and chose not to contact me...and they do not take tourists where I got the photo, they take them to a totally different place where there is no way they can get shots like I do...dishonesty in any form irritates me

Ahh, I didn't realize that you actually knew who was doing it. I hope there is some way you can get compensated for your work. Although I suspect it's more the dishonesty to the tourists that is bothering you

thanks...so it goes I guess, it just makes me wonder how many more. I guess I just have this weird sense of morality...I would never use anybody else's work, or post anything not my own because I would not be happy with myself for doing it.

It really bugs me that they are using it to lure tourists in so they can make big bucks (I understand they fill a 15 passenger van every 2 hours with tourists paying over 50 dollars apiece for the tours, which works out to several thousand dollars a day...which don't even take them where they can see or photograph a bear this close) and they are too cheap and dishonest to not only not pay me to use the shot but also never asking me or crediting me.

i completely understand, i would seriously sue because if they can make all this money takeing ppl on tour, why on earth can they not pay you. i would at least threat,or speak to them about paying you or sueing them. it's your work that they stole, it's just like a kid takeing a candy bar from a store. i hope things go well

I've got somebody going to pick me up one of their brochures, which should have contact information as I can find no trace of them on the web or through the chamber of commerce there.
