been in a sonic mood lately, so I did as I do with sonic moods: i started sketching up character ideas. so yeah here have original the hedgehog do not steal mark 2

here's the original finalized version of his design, which came about after a few hours of idly scribbling in between writing re:CON:

there's also some design notes on there so check that out too i suppose

i suppose this would be for the 'bad future' that got mercifully retconned out of existence by sonic 2k6, but whatever, Silver still shows up from time to time for, idfk, badminton tournaments and as far as i'm concerned everyone has psionics in the future so refer to the previous permit i mentioned, and since silver gets to show up, so does this guy.
his name is Zen (both because of his powers and because ‘zen’ is one of the readings of 前 -- even though he's from the future, i figured it still worked bc he comes back to a previous time, u dig?), but ive been nicknaming him 'wifi' because of his symbols lmao.
the little white things are spikes-- his ears aren't visible when he's wearing his gogglephones.
in addition to basic psychokinesis allowing him to fly/hover, his thing is seeing into the past, especially to find the exact moment where something went wrong or to track where something went, though he probably has to touch the object/be in the place to use it, he can't just astrally project onto the fuckin moon or something
i suppose in a game mechanic sense his powers would manifest as him being able to see psychic trails to lead him to hidden objects, so he’d have levels that function kind of like the SA/2 treasure hunt stages crossed with the chaotix 'find X number of Ys’ levels in Heroes? he briefly kind of goes into a 'zen trance’ when he does this

(basically when i have other shit to do my motivation to do literally anything else is sky-high)
