The extremely overdue half of my trade with who wanted me to draw Link and Epona from the Legend of Zelda series. I was trying my new watercolors and watercolor paper with this
The composition didn't come out quite as I imagined and the watercolor seems to have a mind of its own, but I hope you enjoy xDI think I'm on a recent trend of forgetting to sign traditional works... OTL

Watercolor is so difficult! It takes a long time to master (or at least get a vague idea of how to work it xD )
But you did really well here. True, the lines are a bit blendy, but that's watercolor's style. The colors are fantastic, and you shaded very well. I love the flare of blue and yellow behind them, it works really well with the overall picture.

My gosh, this is incredible! I know you say the composition didn't come out quite as you wanted to, but I think it came out brilliantly! The wash in the background is perfect.
I still LOVE your horses, even though you don't do them so often. You just really seem to capture the spirit of them, and I can really see that in Epona here.
You did a fantastic job of making Link actually look like he's sitting on the horse, I have...major difficulties with that.
