Well, actually he has his back turned to the camera in the fall, and his rather fluffy tail next to him when he lands, so he could easily hide the small briefcase

She woke up out of her dream to find the object of her desire on the phone who apparently doesn't share her interest as much as she does. He appears to be genuinely surprised regarding her suggestion that he was looking for companionship.
I would guess that he is hustling her but we will have to wait and see. It could go both ways but I can't see an employer firing people in this way for such a thing but hey, it's not our world.
Great art. Looking forward to the next to see where this goes.

I'm pretty sure it's a hustle.Β I doubt Judy would forget such an important meeting.
And I doubt Bogo would be so callous as to fire Judy for one missed meeting, and since Nick's NOT at the meeting he says he's at....

Jonathan-The-Ham-Ham In reply to InTheLionsDen [2017-05-23 04:44:37 +0000 UTC]
I dunno, it seems to me more like it could be he's just surprised about how forward/flirty she's being (or I guess a better way to put it is she's being forward/flirty - by Judy standards). Or yeah, it could be part of the hustle, haha

Wait a second, first page says this happens a month after Bellwether's arrest so why is Nick already in blues? Does that means ZPD academy only takes a month of training?

Jonathan-The-Ham-Ham In reply to ArgenKaiser [2017-05-22 23:01:49 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, that's the one thing I'm wondering about - other than that, definitely enjoying the art and story so far.
π: 0 β©: 0
GlumHum In reply to ArgenKaiser [2017-05-22 22:59:26 +0000 UTC]
Yes. Well, at least in my comic universe, every species has different term. Depending on their height
and body weight, the length of training can be varied. Also, for the sake of the story, I had to shorten
the gap in order to have Bellwether I need. (Bellwether who served in a prison for a significant amount
of time is not the one I'm looking for)
π: 0 β©: 1
Jonathan-The-Ham-Ham In reply to GlumHum [2017-05-23 02:22:16 +0000 UTC]
Ah, okay - so is it the smaller the species, the shorter the time spent at the Academy, or is the converse true? So, like, would Judy's term have been a couple of weeks, or a couple of months? Sorry, but now I'm curious (and I love little details about worlds like that).

GlumHum In reply to Jonathan-The-Ham-Ham [2017-05-23 02:47:55 +0000 UTC]
First of all, I know in US it takes 6 months (about). But Zootopia is not a human world.
Most of the applicants were physically fit already in the movie (no hamster wannabe cop, etc)
so I expect ZPD to have short-term graduation process.
I guess it would depend on how fit you actually are, and the size of a mammal acts as a catalyst.
Nick is a fox. He is nimble, fast, and has claws that help him to climb well. So it is pretty evident
that Nick can make the cut easily (unlike Judy who went through rigorous process)
On top of that, he saved Zootopia from a potential civil war between preds and preys. If I were a
mayor, I would be proud to have him as an officer regardless.
Sorry for the long reply I just love talking

Fair enough - and don't worry, I know a thing or two about lengthy replies (in fact, I tend to appreciate them, because more often than not, they contain more information than shorter ones).
Also, since I'm replying to you here, I might as well say this - about those deleted pages you talked about on tumblr: I for one would love to see them!

I kinda feel bad for coming on to the project after reading those replies. Glum put in all that effort for nothing. Most of it made sense, but it wouldn't hold up for the knowledge based parts of a police academy program.
