Description the colored version of the sketch that I put in earlier...

like I said, I could sit and draw her curls all day. And that's basically what I did because it is now 4:30 in the AM and my brain is screaming at me to sleep.

For some reason I've always envisioned Christine with golden curls like in Leroux's novel. I've never become majorly attached to the brunette Christine but I do like her. There's just something about those gold curls that I adore.

Best of both worlds. Pre-Raphaelite curly BLONDE haired Christine. I love it!

This is beautiful! I like how you've drawn her profile. And blonde Christines are my fav, too. I learned about Phantom through ALW, but I've preferred Leroux's rendition for a long time. As you said, nothing against brunette Christine (heck, I'm a brunette), but I'm a purist when it comes to the main characters

Well done!

Thank you very much! I'm glad that you like it

I also learned about Phantom through ALW, but only the music. The first version of the story that I was exposed to was Leroux's book, and it's always stuck with me though Kay's is my favorite. It seems like the books just keep them in their purest forms. I'm also a brunette, so I totally understand and I like that she was made a brunette to some extent, but regardless I still never picture her that way whenever I think of Christine. I don't know, it's kind of strange XD

I like Kay, too. It can be frustrating to read Leroux and not know too much about the character who's most interesting (IMHO, anyway)!

I very much agree. I think that's where it could be easier for people to start getting into the whole "Erik is a psychopath/villain" thing, because in Leroux's book there's such a lack of description about him at times that it's just how he appears, and because it was intended to be that he's a horror figure. Kay's gave us a whole other level of understanding.
