Some people have been asking if there would be a new calendar, but I wanted one more new piece if I was going to do that and I hadn't done any kind of 'love' theme in a while, so I figured why not?
I had liked the concept from the dsl piece, so I ran with it. Hopefully I can get all the calendar files compiled soon, but I venture to guess it won't be before the weekend.Media: Illustrator, texture created with scanned papyrus. As this uses photo texturing for background elements by definition, it does not qualify as 'vector' work.
Sorry again for the larger watermark, but as some of you know, I've been having trouble with people taking and using for auction and other such things without permission, so just a necessary evil.

I think I'm most impressed by the sky blue heart for the contrast with the rest of the piece but also it's just so rarely seen on a valentine picture. Even an orange or a yellow would be cool but blue is a really unusual and more interesting color choice.

I love everything about this girl's design; her hair color, her haircut, her eye colors, how well those colors go together, her outfit and how it breaks up her shapes in all the right ways. It's de-lovely.
She reminds me of the Powerpuff Girls episode when Sedusa disguised herself as Ima Goodlady, or something like that.
Also-- the li'l cupid is oozing adorability. And I don't even think that's a word.

The colours are really sweet, and I love the figure and posture of the girl. The white hair works so well with the red clothes.
