Eh, I've just been goofing around with some stuff from the same Transformers fanthing that [link] and [link] are from.Let me say right away, for those of you who aren't familiar with the idea, that TF:M is a fanwork of Transformers in GENERAL-- NOT a fanwork of G1, NOT a fanwork of RiD, NOT a fanwork of the Unicron Trilogy, NOT a fanwork of the 07 movie, and most certainly NOT a fanwork of the Animated series. (Though I'm looking forward to it.)
In Masquerade, Jazz is female. I'm aware this might drive a few folks away, but I'm not changing it for them because I'm making a statement.
What's the statement?
That if it weren't for the fact that Transformers first came out in the 80's, Jazz might not have BEEN male. There's no reason for the character to BE male that is a good one. The writers may have well just flipped a coin. (I actually DID flip a coin on several characters, but not Jazz because of the prominence of the character.)
"But if Jazz is a girl, I can't drool over him!"
I'm bisexual. I have no sympathy whatsoever.
"But Jazz is a guy NOW!"
So? Robots don't have dimorphic sexes, not even Transformers in TF:Mask, who follow a version of the "Spark System" in order to reproduce. Genders, yes. Sexes, no.
"But in the G1 comics, they're all genderless!"
Shut up, Simon Furman. You lie. They are very distinctly male. Especially in the UK comic about Arcee.

Anyway, FemJazz. Worship her. She is sexy. (And notice the little details in the design seem to change in every single sketch, not counting the "human" Jazz? Weird.)

Um...question... They're machines, so is there even such a thing as 'squicky'; not counting when they stepped on some mud or wierd little organic? It's all (for lack of better phrashing) tweak, twist, rub and data for them, isn't it? Well, minus spark-bonding.
Hee hee, sorry. I don't care either way, especially if it's well-written. And female Jazz rocks. I can't wait until you post up the story, even if it wil be a while. X3

I dunno that I want to spoil it, considering that it's a common pairing but unfolds uncommonly.

If it's on the same side, then MegatronXStarscream, but if it was with an autobot....Jetfire/Skyfire? Assuming of course that Optimus has Elita1 and all that. Are either of those close?

Quite close, in that I like multiple pairings for one character. >:3 Although I will note that in TF:M, the character equivilant to G1 Skyfire when it comes to his actual personality and backstory is named Jetfire, whilst Skyfire is someone else altogether (our fan continuities can be confusing sometimes.)

Oooh, that's awesome! The multiple-bot pairings as well as splitting up the two into seperate characters. (As far as i've learned fandom-wise those two were the same bot, just different continuities, right? Which sucked because their personalities weren't really too close. And they're both awesome 'bots.)

Starscream IS a chick. He has a high-pitched voice and he has high-heel thruster boots and he constantly whines and wails when he doesn't get his way. Not that ALL girls do that last one, but Starscream is just a particularly whiny femme.

I love it. Being bi myself this pic makes me insanely happy. May I ask what TF:M is? The only other thing where Jazz is a girl that I have seen is a story where all the genders are switched My interest has been peaked. Looked through the rest of your gallery and have got to say I love your style. Off to read the comic now. XD

You can find out a lot about the basic concept of what I (and my bro) are doing with TF:M in the description for the Agony Within pic (one of the two linked here.) Basically it's a very large fanproject on our part that ties in a lot of ideas from G1 and the other series, and ideas that just came to us (and occasionally commentary on the fandom, I'll be honest) into one universe. And done as a fancomic, because I can't seem to keep myself from doing that.
Not much of it is actually written out all the way, but I recently decided to start posting chunks of art and eventually issues of it just as it gets finished. (We have a LOT of backstory writ up.) So expect more.
(I'd like to hope that eventually I can convince other people to do stuff for it too, but I'm kind of an optimist. XD)

And don't forget, there's only a few mechs that have the chests in G1 to possibly be female (if aesthetics even matter). Jazz is one of'em. So're all the Datsuns XD
